  2. When sending a message out to APNs from within firewalls, do you have to address the message to the proxy? we have a proxy in the DMZ.

      I haven’t really had anything to do with this in a while (it’s a fairly old article), and I’m not sure I totally understand your question. However I don’t think you should need to address APN messages to the proxy. The proxy itself should be handling addressing and redirection.
