For me, this year was the fifth Free Comic Book Day I’d been to, however for the people I went with, this was their first time. My four friends had all never been before, so I gave them the tour, and it didn’t exactly turn out as I expected.
For various reasons, mainly involving Uni, my brother and I were only able to get to two comic book stores this year on Free Comic Book Day: Minotaur and Classic Comics. Thus this won’t be a very comprehensive review like in previous years, just a quick rundown of what we found this year.
If you’re a big comic book fan, you’ll already be aware of the annual worldwide event known as Free Comic Book Day. However you may not be aware of the offerings of Melbourne comic book stores in relation to this event. I’ve been the last three years, and I went again this year. So here’s my wrap up on what my brother and I found on our travels to Melbourne CBD’s comic book stores.
As I did last year, last week I went to Free Comic Book Day with Magdon (my brother), and even though we didn’t really have much time this year, I think we got an even better set of stuff than ever before.
