Arduino

As a good student, I’ve been very busy lately (and for the last 4 months) studying. So the only thing I’ve had time to write is study notes. I thought that I’d make the most of them, share a bit of my new knowledge with you, and give you a quick crammer’s guide to some of the topics from each of my subjects last semester. The information probably won’t mean a whole lot to you if you’ve never learnt anything about the topic before, but if you have, hopefully, this’ll clear up a few things for you. Continue Reading

TFIOS

As a John Green fan, and someone who originally pre-ordered and read TFIOS, I felt it necessary to see the new movie adaptation. So, a few nights ago I went, on my own, to see it. And even though it’s been out for a while, and everyone and their dog has reviewed it (even if they haven’t seen it), here I present to you my opinion, just in case it matters.

Watch_Dogs Deluxe Edition_splash

As a tech-head and hacking culture enthusiast, I’ve been waiting with bated breath for Watch_Dogs ever since I heard the concept: a sandbox Chicago where you play as a hacker who leverages the world around him with his hacking skills. However, when Ubisoft released the system requirement for it, I realised I would be waiting a bit longer if I wanted to actually play it. So I made it my mission to find a bunch of games that I could play without upgrading my PC that would give me some of that Watch_Dogs experience.

My FCBD Comics Haul

As I did last year, last week I went to Free Comic Book Day with Magdon (my brother), and even though we didn’t really have much time this year, I think we got an even better set of stuff than ever before.

As I’ve already done a review of every other Windows Upgrade/Update that’s happened recently, it only makes sense that I’d do the same of Windows 8.1 Update, also known as Windows 8.1 Spring Update, Windows 8.1 Update 1, or as I like to call it, Windows 8.1.1.

VMars

As a Veronica Mars fan, I was uber-excited about seeing the long-awaited movie last Friday, especially since I was one of the lucky ones who managed to get a ticket to see it in an actual cinema. And seeing as many people may not have seen it still, here I provide you with a spoiler-free review. I’ll even try to keep it free of spoilers for those of you who are yet to finish (or even start) watching the original TV series.

As a Win8 user, I updated to Win8.1 months ago and since 8.1.1 is suppose to come out in a few weeks, I ought to tell you what I think of plain ol’ Win8.1 before then.

Facebook wants to eat you up!

As a Facebook user, I’m pretty sick of Facebook trying to reinvigorate itself by expanding into every possible facet of my life. If they had it their way, every moment of my life (waking or otherwise) would be spent, not just on, but through Facebook. But that’s not how I want to play it. Facebook serves a very specific, finite function in my life, and that’s how I want it to stay.

Poorly Drawn Australia

As I did this time last year, around Australia Day, I went back again this year and reread both Appreciate Everything and last year’s follow-up post. Both are reflections on the good things I have in my life, and appreciating them for how great they really are. This year, I’ve tried to write another…
